9/11/11

I was listening to the 'Acoustic Storm' on 104.5 as I took my shower this morning. They were playing acoustic tunes that were appropriate as we remember the tragedy than befell this country 10 years ago. As they played this song, I cried- for friends and family that have passed, for those who lost their lives on 9/11, and for the emotional impact this song has always had on me. Thank you to Kansas for writing such profound, true words. This song always makes me well up with tears. I am proud to call Kansas family- my cousin Billy is the bassist-

To my mom and dad- I miss you more than words can say; Travis, you left us way, way too soon; Jennifer Zaffino- there isn't a day that goes by I don't think bout you- you are an angel, and all those who perished on 9/11- You truly are American Heroes- you had no choice but to give your life for this great country- and you are not forgotten.

Let's Roll..........

Dust in the Wind

I close my eyes
Only for a moment and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes a curiosity

Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

Now don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the Earth and Sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
