I had time recently to sit and think, I mean really contemplate my life, and it is a pretty good existence. Great career doing something I love and I am passionate about, returning to school to be all that I can be, comfortable home, incredible family and great friends. And I decided I need to be very thankful for things in my life-
First, for my wonderful friend Jeff Worley. He is on of my best friends husband. He is a great guy, a huge teddy bear. He and Teri like myself ride Harleys. Several weeks ago, Jeff was in a horrific crash. It could have been much worse, but someone was looking out for my friend and his family. He had significant injuries, but everything will heal in time. I am so thankful he wasn’t hurt worse, that he is healing one day at a time, and that his family is there with him every step of the way.He is the sole breadwinner for his family- so if you want to read his story, click here and leave a hug, a dollar, or a kind word.
Second (And there is NO WAY this is going in any type of prioritized order- My friend and co-worker Jordan. He is a true miracle man. 22 years old, a Colleton County fire fighter/paramedic- living his life ‘like a boss’, recently engaged to the beautiful Kaila Bishop- had some abdominal pain- which turned in to Non Hodgkins lymphoma. Kid has been fighting harder than Muhammed Ali. Surgeries, dialysis, ventilators, pacemakers. Several moments were touch and go. We gathered and cried for this young man, and we prayed harder. Today he sat on the edge of his bed, then stood up. Prayers - a lot of them- answered. You can follow Jordan's progress on Facebook- Jordan Eaddy Support Group. Join the group- say a prayer for an American hometown hero-
And lastly- very happy about a friend in my life. My smile had been dimmed and my laugh had been gone. Thank you for restoring that. God does truly have a plan for everything- sometimes, I just wish he would tell me sooner than later.
And now it is time to thank him again~~~~
